Ruskin Mill Trust have an opportunity available to run the livestock and field work aspect of Vale Head Farm, a 34 acre (14ha) mixed biodynamic farm in rural South Staffs. The role includes working part of the week with young people (16 – 22yrs old) with special needs, who come to learn and work as part of their Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) programme at Glasshouse College, Stourbridge, an independent specialist college run by Ruskin Mill Trust.

Patchwork Farm is a therapeutic care farm that has been specially designed to allow the young people onsite to have a unique, hands on, multi-sensory experience with a number of different animals. Head Grower, Oaklands Park garden, Gloucestershire - closing date 4th June 2018

The Camphill Village Trust are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to take the lead in managing our market garden. This would be the perfect opportunity for someone who may have recently completed a training programme or apprenticeship and searching for a garden to develop and invest their time and energy.

Our garden is currently certified by Demeter and we would want someone with Organic or Biodynamic knowledge to maintain our certification. Working with some of our community members and other volunteers you will manage the garden with a focus on production and generating income. As part of this we would like you to explore a CSA model for our garden enabling us to provide biodynamic, fresh, seasonal produce to the wider community, as well as the community members and staff within the Camphill Village Trust. The post will also involve hosting educational visits and corporate volunteer groups.

A unique opportunity has become available for an urban grower interested in working with young people (16-25yrs old) with special educational needs to learn and work as part of their Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) programme at Argent College in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, operated by Ruskin Mill Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated person with experience of running horticultural projects and working with people.  Knowledge and experience of organic methods and an openness to the biodynamic approach is essential.  Training in biodynamics will be provided through the Ruskin Mill Biodynamic Training. Salary £19,733.00 -  £29, 547.00 per annum

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, self motivated gardener/grower with experience of working in a social or educational setting to join our horticulture team. The role is located at Vale Head Farm a 32 -acre mixed biodynamic farm in rural Staffordshire where young people (16 – 25yrs old) with special needs come to learn and work as part of their Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) programme at Glasshouse College, Stourbridge, an independent specialist college run by Ruskin Mill Trust. The post holder will work directly with our students, teaching them horticultural skills within the context of a working market garden. Salary £19,733.00 - £29,547.00 per annum
