Care Farming UK is committed to protecting the privacy of the registered users of the site, as well as individuals or organisations we have collected data from. Care Farming UK does not, under any circumstances, sell, trade or hire any personal details submitted via the Care Farming UK website to any third party.

In accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 the information you provide is kept secure. Care Farming UK has implemented reasonable security procedures in order to protect personal information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction.  Care Farming UK regularly reviews security and encryption technologies and will strive to protect information to the fullest extent possible. 

However, Care Farming UK cannot warrant the security of any information you transmit before it reaches us.

Your information and what we use it for.

Information will only be collected by Care Farming UK when you knowingly provide this. Access to parts of the website requires that you complete a registration form, which does include information such as contact names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers.

In the case of Care Farms who register with us, we publish some of this information online to help publicise the Care Farm and allow other practitioners, health/education/socal care professionals and potential users to find out more about individual care farms.

Where stated, Care Farming UK may use personal information to contact registered users in the future about forthcoming training, events, newsletters and new resources. We may also share information about registered users within Care Farming UK itself or to like-minded organisations or individuals (for example academic institutions conducting research into care farming). We do not sell, rent or lease the information we collect to any third parties and we do not use or disclose information of a sensitive nature.

The data controller for Care Farming UK (UK) is the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens. If at any time you wish to have your personal information removed from our records, or you wish us to stop using your personal information in certain ways, if you wish to discover the extent of personal information that we hold about you, or wish to raise any concerns about our privacy policy, please contact us via enquiries@carefarminguk.org

Accounts and passwords

If you have registered or subscribed to an Care Farming UK website, any user identification code or password must be kept confidential and used only by you (unless agreed in writing with the Care Farming UK.

We have the right to disable any user identification code or password whether chosen by you or allocated by us at any time if in our opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

The Care Farming UK website contains links to other websites. Other sites may link to the Care Farming UK website, but in no way does this indicate our endorsement of those sites or their content.
